It's big news around here...

well to do dude goes to sell truck, a few dudes come by to look at it, dude goes missing. first arrest is a young guy from a very wealthy aviating family (Dellen Millard). missing dude found dead burned from a portable farm incinerator on a property owned by the aviation family. charges upgraded from forceable confinement and theft over $5k to 1st degree murder.

Dellen is remaining silent and not giving up the others involved though police say they know who they are. He was the youngest Canadian to ever fly solo in an aircraft at 14.

Dellen's dad apparently committed suicide (gun shot wound to the head) in December but now they're looking at that.

Dellen was a 27 year old CEO of an aircraft refab company the family owned and is investing millions into a hangar in waterloo for the business. he owns many properties and could easily afford to buy the truck. the truck was found in a trailer in the driveway of his moms house.

basically everyone is speculating on what happened and the lawyer said the truth will come out over time but that could take many months or even years.

I just rattled off a few facts above but more and more stuff is coming out all the time.

apparently the dad was the driver of the aircraft refab business and then in Feb, after the apparent suicide, the business was being wound down? a 51,000+ sq ft hangar... permits for it just cleared last fall... $6.4m to purchase.

I've been going to The Glen 1-2 times per year for the past 24 or so years, but typically camp.

Last September during the Glen Vintage event the Sheriffs advised everyone in the campground to vacate, as a storm with tornado threats was on its way.

We were able to get a room at the Seneca Lodge, which I'd been to many times but never stayed at. As much as I like camping, this was move convenient and fun given the nature of the weekend. They have a long waiting list, even though we stayed there last year we don't get "preferred" status since we didn't stay their 3 day minimum. I'm on the waiting list behind 25 people.

Any other suggestions? Seneca lodge's cabins would be perfect, it's unfortunate they don't have vacancy.

I'm willing to drive a bit if need be. I know a lot of those small mom & pop places don't have websites, I'll be driving through Watkins Glen for work next week (bought another 1st gen Prius in Baltimore). I appreciate any suggestions, I can stop down when I'm there next week.

anyways, i try and watch all of the talks on ted.com but lately there has been too much on education, art and other stuff that doesn't really engage me that much.

The Hamilton Police Service is seeking the assistance of the public in locating a missing 32-year-old Hamilton man.

Timothy BOSMA was reported missing to the Hamilton Police Service on May 6th, 2013 in the Ancaster area.

The Hamilton Poli...ce Service and his family are concerned for his well being and are asking for the help of the public in locating him. Timothy was last seen in his 2007 black Dodge Ram 3500 pick-up truck with license plate number 726-7ZW. Timothy was last seen wearing dark blue jeans, work boots, and a long sleeve shirt.

Hamilton Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Timothy BOSMA to contact the on duty CID investigator from Division 3 CID at 905-546-4930 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477

89 Sea Doo (time machine)

Ended up taking this off a buddy of mine who owed me some scratch. All I know is it's an 89 and it actually looks to be in pretty good shape. I plan on re-doing some things on it over he winter but I might just want to tool around on it a bit this summer (like I have the friggin time). The guy my buddy got it from hadn't run it a 2-3 years and claims it was "winterized" at one point. My buddy never started it either. Wondering if there's any sort of preparation I should go through before trying to get it to run. I rode one of these ten years ago and that's about the extend of my knowledge base. Any hints would be appreciated.:pirat:

**Please excuse any typos or oddities as I'm using a spanish keyboard because my laptop crapped out. All photos were taken with my IPhone, so they aren't the best. I'll clean up the posts when I'm back state side.**

I do a little traveling for work and my latest (current) job brings me to Punta Arenas, Chile. Traveling here took about 23 hours, so that kinda blows but until they refine teleportation we're stuck with airtravel.

Punta Arenas is a smaller city with a tight city center (plaza). If you plan on visiting ever I'd get a hotel in the plaza. They are more upsale and very nice. There are also a bunch of hostels around if you want to me super cheap. I'm staying at the Hotel Cabo de Hornos. I like it and they have a nice bar and rest if you don't feel like going out. My room costs about $125 per night.

I luckily have had some time to go out exploring on my own, so I've been able to experience all the city has to offer. The exchange rate here is $1 USA = 470 Paso. While this is good, everything isn't cheap. Good food is on par with US rates, as are comodities. You can get cheap food and goods off street venders however. There is a big wool trade here, so hats and sweaters can be had on the cheap.

So Punta Arenas was really built up in the late 1800's early 1900's settled by Europeans so the city has a very euro feel. Think 2 hour lunches and dinner at 9pm. Breakfest is small, lunch large and dinner smaller. The food here is great, try to go around the city and try everyplace....thats what I do haha. Most of the old buildings in the plaza have been built anywhere from 1880 to 1920. They were all designed by Europeans and I think it shows. Most people are Catholic it looks and there are a few nice churches to check out. They say if you kiss the foot of the idian in the center of the plaza you'll one day return to Punta Areans. Oh Punta Arenas literally means point of sand, or sand's end. I think I'm about 600 miles from antartica, but the weather isn't horrible due to ocean currents. Its about 50, windy and rainy but it is also fall here. Oh you CAN drink the water here...that makes it so nice haha. So onto some pictures.....
