Default Best Head Unit for IPhone control

I currently have a Parrot Hands Free device in my truck and it is horrible. It truly sucks and I've had to take it back in for work 5 times already.

Has anyone successfully found a head unit that can interface with an IPhone/Blackberry that does VR, load your contacts, and control your phone?

I was thinking about trying a Pioneer with GPS build in. Does anyone have any experience with using a stereo to control their phone?

Any personal experience would be greatly appreciated. It would also be slick if the connection to the phone would allow you to charge the phone while the car is off.

I have the $200 Alpine one, it doesn't work too bad. Loading contacts and stuff is not the best though. Caller ID works, and the speaker/mic are both good.

i have a avic f-700 BT-perfect for what you need i think. i use it all the time for my iphone/ipod. works great. no lag, album art on unit, etc. just make sure you buy a oem cable, the jap ones on ebay suck balls and wont last a week usually.
