Freight shipping?

I'm looking to ship something rather large a pretty far distance. The person selling it seems to have no intrest in packing it securely themselves. I am looking for somebody who could pick it up in Chicago, Illinois, and transport it to Jacksonville Florida safely, securely, and at a reasonable rate. I don't really even know where to start looking.

Any help or previous experience would be greatly appreciated
